Toyota has unveiled the concept of its new microcar, the FT-Me, which is small in size but grand in other aspects.
The unveiling took place by the Japanese manufacturer during the Kenshiki Forum in Brussels, and it is a fully electric microcar with an affordable price and a carefully designed look.
The design of the FT-Me, inspired by a motorcycle helmet, aims to address the evolving needs of city dwellers and the challenges of modern urban environments.

Measuring less than 2.5 meters in length, the car has only two seats, taking up only half of a parking space and helping with parking maneuvers in tiny spaces.
The car features solar panels on the roof to recharge the battery, but it’s worth noting that the top speed of the FT-Me would be limited to 45 km/h, and Toyota estimates that the vehicle would need to offer at least a 100 km range.
“We believe there is an opportunity to offer something new to customers,” said Stijn Peeters, head of new mobility at Toyota, who is also the chief engineer of the FT-Me.
